COLLEGE BOWL 3 STAR POWER PLAY

                                        GATOR BOWL

*** NORTHWESTERN  -1.5    vs    MISSISSIPPI  ST

I think this Wildcats team and coach have been a little underrated this year.  I know they are ranked, but they came into this game as the under dog.  They have lost a few games and they were all very close and winnable.  Miss St, on the other hand has been destroyed by every semi-decent to good team they've played and I think has been overrated all year.

PREDICTED SCORE : WILDCATS  28  BULLDOGS 24

COLLEGE BOWL MONEY PLAY

                                  CHICK-FIL-A BOWL

*** LSU -4.5   vs   CLEMSON

This is the type of game coach Les Miles is going to treat like a championship game.  He loves and is graced with the opportunity to play Clemson and be back in this bowl game for the second time.  Who knows why.  This is also a game where his team over matches the other team with talent. I think that Clemson has a very good offense and will be able to score some touchdowns, but on the defensive side of the ball, not so much.  The main key to this game is that LSU will dominate them at the line of scrimmage, and I don't think Clemson QB Tajh Boyd Jr has seen a pass rush as monstrous as LSU's.  Good luck to them trying to stop their running game also.

PREDICTED SCORE :  LSU 37   CLEMSON 21

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

** XAVIER   +9   at  CINCINNATI

I do not know why the Muskateers are getting this many points.  Maybe there's something I don't know about this game.  I do know they are getting back their F Justin Martin after the head injury that took him out of the Vanderbilt game on December 6, and that they also have had 10 days off since they played their last game.  That is a long lay-off, but Xavier has seemed to get up more for the good teams.  They have only lost 2 barn burners by a combined 5 points all year.  Cincinnati is coming in at home undefeated, which may leave them more vulnerable, and except for Alabama and Oregon, they have not played anyone.  This very well could be the Bearcats first loss of the season, because I see Xavier coming in and playing them real tough tonight.

NFL WEEK 16 PLAY

* SEATTLE    pk   vs   SAN FRANCISCO

I have said this all year and I'm still going to say it.  I don't know how you can go against the Seahawks at home this year.  I also think it's kind of nuts going against them right now with them being as hot as they are.  They've put up over 100 points in the last two games, plus they got the Niners off of a short week.  It's a good spot to have them in, and Seattle truly has that 12th man advantage, plus a really good defense.  So I got to go with the Hawks in a gut-wrencher.

NBA PLAY

* CHICAGO  -1.5  vs   BOSTON

I like the way the Bulls have been playing in their last few games, which is a lot better than how they were playing when they lost to the Celtics on November 12th in Boston.  I'll take the Bulls to win by at least a basket at home tonight.

MONDAY MORNING NFL

I couldn't have been more wrong, once again, about my New Orleans Saints yesterday.  I backed the other team, because the season was already over and I thought they'd probably lose so I could actually enjoy it in some way.  I know what some of you so called True Fans think, but I don't care and really don't need to justify it, but I kind of just did.  I am a true fan but also a bettor and business person.  If you have never listened to a whole Saints game on the radio, then you're not as true of a fan as me, because back in the day we had to listen to home games this way.  So sorry I didn't get to enjoy a meaningless win, where the Saints looked better than they did all year.  I was glad to see them play like this and hope it carries into next year.  At least the defense has started to improve in the second half of this year, but it needs to get much better next season.  As for the Falcons, they have proved that maybe this chatter about them not being a real team was just squirrel talk.  I know it's still the regular season, but the dirty birds needed that game vs the Giants and I think they showed they can play like one of the best teams.  Green Bay is healthy and clinched their division, owning the Bears, who have continued to slip.  I guess you can't count the Packers out of making a play-off run.  Atlanta still has to show this same dominance in the play offs if they want to go to a Superbowl.  Peyton Manning and the hot Broncos continue to roll and after last night the Pats don't look so unbeatable anymore. I know it's early but I'll take the Broncos to play in the AFC Championship game.  Strange things happen in the NFL along with the play offs.  There tends to be a team that surprises some in the post season and I think the Seattle Seahawks could be one of those teams this year.  I'm not saying they are winning anything but don't be shocked if they make their conference championship game.  Something has told me all year that the Giants are not going back to the SB.  Hell, they might not even make the play offs now. Ha. Fuck you Eli.  I can't really tell who's going to make the big game this year just yet, because it is still too early, but I am thinking Broncos will represent the AFC.  The NFC is sort of a toss up, and although I must see them look good in at least one game, I am not one that thinks the Falcons can't be for real, because they can.  It will most probably come down to San Fran, GB and Atlanta.  Now let me go try to enjoy the rest of these two regular season weeks.

NFL WEEK 15 PLAY

* TAMPA BAY  +3  at   NEW ORLEANS

I was so wrong last weekend about the Saints  Nothing seems to be clicking right now for this team and Drew Brees is continuing to look like dog shit.  It's frustrating to fans that believe he should have been satisfied with the initial offer his team gave him that would have already made him the highest paid player, although he didn't even deserve it.  He's no Tom Brady and I think the money and his ego got a hold of him.  Oh well, I hope he attempts to earn all the money he was paid next year, because he sure hasn't earned all of it this season.  Josh Freeman has already won twice in the dome in his young career and the Bucs have more going for them and more of a reason to play at this point.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

NBA TUESDAY NIGHT PLAY

* NEW ORLEANS  -5.5  vs   WASHINGTON

The Hornets are on a three game losing streak, but just go look at the last three opponents.  It's expected.  New Orleans is not very good, but do play extremely hard and have some talent, and I think are a better team than the Wizards.  I look for them to most probably roll tonight at home.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL BOWL PLAY

                                              2012 LITTLE CAESARS BOWL

                                                 FORD FIELD  DETROIT, MI

                                                   "PIZZA, PIZZA"

** WESTERN KENTUCKY  -5.5   vs   CENTRAL MICHIGAN

I think the Hilltoppers had a pretty good season overall.  The bottom line in this game is that they are just a good bit better than Central Michigan.  Let the bowl wins begin!

Friday, December 7, 2012

NBA FRIDAY NIGHT PLAYS

* BROOKLYN  -6.5  vs   GOLDEN ST

The Nets were hot for a little while, before just losing the last two to the Conference champions of each side.  Tonight they get back to it.

* WASHINGTON  +9  at  ATLANTA

I think the Wizards are definitely carrying some confidence with them in this game after defeating the heat on Tuesday night.  They have also played some really close ones with this team in the most recent match ups, and I like them to battle it out tonight as well.

** OKLAHOMA CITY  -8  vs  L.A. LAKERS

The Thunder are very hot right now, and well, the Lakers are not.  I like Ok City to dominate this team, and really put it on them while they can.

HEISMAN TROPHY

I don't ever like to use this word, because it's almost like there's no such thing, but Johhny Manziel is a LOCK to win the Heisman trophy this year.  First, just go look at his stats.  AMAZING for a freshman, or any class if that.  This award tends to go to an offensive player, unless somehow a defensive player has an unforgettable year, and even then it's still hard for him to get it.  Notre Dame ILB Manti Te'o is well deserving of the award, given the season he had, but I'd probably give it to Johnny football too.  Quarterbacks just have more impact on viewers and almost everything in this game.  What Manziel did this year passing and running and beating the top dog on the road, there's really no quesion to why he's going to be the first freshman to win it. Now, don't get me wrong I'm not discrediting Te'o, because he has made a giant impact on the whole Irish team, because their defense is so good.  He's the MVP of their team and defensive MVP of the year, no doubt. Am I completely sure Manziel will get it?  Hell yes because the oddsmakers have odds on this and they have Johhny Football going off at 1 to 10 to win.  As for the runner up, which is Te'o, the odds are 2.5 to 1.  Do the math.  You would have to risk 100.00 just to win 10 if u bet on Manziel.  They don't just give money away, at least not that often.  Well if your rich just drop a cool mil on Football  and you get a free 100,000.00.  Why not...

NFL WEEK 14 PICKS

* NEW ORLEANS  +5  at  NY GIANTS

The Saints have had this team's number in the past recent years, and although the last two match ups were blowouts in the Saints favor, probably due to the Giants lack of health in those two, there are still some favorable match ups the Saints have here with their passing game.  I don't see the Giants having an answer for TE Jimmy Graham, and I believe Marques Colston and Pierre Thomas should have good games, but most of all, I see Drew Brees bouncing back from that horrid performance last week against the rival Falcons.  Drew will definitely come back strong because that's the kind of player he is and there are some match ups vs this team which I know he has got to like.  I'll take the Saints with the points.

** SEATTLE  -10.5   vs   ARIZONA

This young Seahawks team has seemed to progress throughout this year and happen to be hitting their stride right about now.  This game vs the Cardinals is actually a revenge game for when the Seahawks lost a nailbiter to them in the first game this year.  That was then and this is now.  This is a different Cardinals team from the one that started 4-0 in the first quarter of the season, and this Hawks team has a load of confidence.
They are going back home, where they are 5-0 off of a big road win, silencing doubters who thought they couldn't beat a good team on the road.  The bottom line is Arizona's offense is atrocious and Seattle's D is for real, plus their division is now up for grabs between them and the Niners.

PREDICTED SCORE : SEAHAWKS 24  CARDINALS 0

THIS WEEKEND'S PICKS

                         COLLEGE FOOTBALL

* Nevada + 9   vs  Boise St.

This is a bitter rivalry, which I think the Wolfpack can keep close this year at home.

* Kansas St -11  vs  Texas

The Wildcats are coming off their bye and their first loss, which was decimating, but they are coming back healthy, which I believe will make a world of a difference.  I like K state pretty big.

                                NFL

* Jacksonville + 6   at   Buffalo

I like what Chad Henne has done for this team, which is give them some respectability and motivation.  On the other hand, I don't like what Chan Gailey has done for this Bills team as a coach.  I think he should be fired, because he shouldn't have been hired in the first place.  Jaguars are playing tough as of late and can win this game, or at least keep it real close.

* Tampa Bay  + 7   at  Denver

Although they just lost a close heart breaker, the Bucs are still a hot team and I expect them to play tough again and come close to winning this one as well

SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 2012

I, like a lot of bias LSU fans, think that the Tigers probably should be in Alabama's spot for this game, considering the way that they looked like they could have beat them prior in this season.  The fact of the matter is that they didn't and there's no use thinking of it.  The Crimson Tide have showed worthiness of this game along with the Bulldogs, who are the hottest team in the SEC right now.  I happen to have trust issues with Mark Richt and his teams, due to the fact that he has underachieved in certain big games in the past.  I'm not saying this game will be like one of those instances, but it could be.  I love their QB Aaron Murray and what he can do with his feet, so that could bring the Tide trouble.  On the other hand, I think Bama has one of the most focused teams in this league and will be more than ready for this match up.  I'm not picking this game, although Georgia +8 looks attractive.  I said attractive, not sexy.  Georgia plus 8 does not give me wood.  When I configure a score for the game in the computer in my head, I come up with:

CRIMSON TIDE 24  BULLDOGS 20

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYS

* GEORGETOWN  +8.5  vs  INDIANA

* UCLA  -12  vs  GEORGIA

NFL WEEK 11 PLAY

* TAMPA BAY  pk   at   CAROLINA

I thought this team would go on a winning streak a few weeks back and I think it continues today.

PREDICTED SCORE : BUCS 23   PANTHERS 20

NBA PLAY

* CHARLOTTE +7  at   MINNESOTA

The Bobcats have had mostly success playing in Minnesota, and may be able to keep the fire they have going right now, on a two game winning streak, tonight at the T-Wolves.  I don't know if they'll get their third in a row, but I do expect them to keep it within 7, so I'm taking the Bobcats for a second night in a row.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 12 PLAY

** UTAH ST.  -3  at   LOUISIANA TECH

A great defense almost always beats a great offense.  Tech has been unbelievable scoring this year, but not so much on the defensive side of the ball.  Utah St has been impressive as a balanced team and have a great defense.  For the Bulldogs to be underdogs at home, I think it's obvious that the Aggies can slow them down and win this game.

Take the ML or bet them down to -2.5 if you can to be safe.

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

NFL THURSDAY NIGHT PLAY

* BUFFALO  -1.5    vs   MIAMI

I think the reason why the Dolphins laid such a huge egg this weekend at home vs the Titans is because they already peaked this season and are about to slide downward.  To recover from such a debacle, much like their performance Sunday, is very tough.  Buffalo has played better defense in the last three losses and knows this team, plus, has them at home after they just lost a demoralizing game.  Take the Bills.

NBA PLAY

** CHARLOTTE  -2   vs  WASHINGTON

Saturday, November 10, 2012

FRIDAY NIGHT BBALL PLAYS

So for those College basketball followers and those who maybe didn't see, the Florida Gators vs GTown Hoyas game was canceled last night at halftime due to a wet floor.  They will not resume this game at all for the whole season, so it is null and void.  I had the Gators -5 for the game and it was 27-23 when they cancelled at half.  So this is like a tie, because you get your money for the bet back, but my record in College Bball is like that of these two teams, 0-0.  I did go 2-0 last night in the NBA and am 3-0 overall for the year.  I intend on bringing more winners your way, all I ask is that you have patience, because it won't be every night, or even every week or month.  What I will bring is a 60% winning percentage or higher with the picks. Enjoy!

NBA FRIDAY NIGHT PLAYS

I love me some Friday nights, and some NBA basketball on these nights.

*BROOKLYN  Moneyline  at   ORLANDO

** NEW YORK -6  vs  DALLAS

I love the Knicks at home right now, they are pretty dang good, and I also consider this an opportunity for them to really stick it to this Mavericks team.  Dirk and Sean Marion  are out.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

Let the season begin!  The last two years during the regular season I've been pretty good picking these games.  I may only have like 20 picks all year, but I expect to have at least a 60% winning percentage with these plays, like the last two seasons.  So to all followers, rock on!

* FLORIDA  -5  vs   GEORGETOWN

Thursday, November 8, 2012

NFL WEEK 10 PLAYS

* DALLAS -1.5   at  PHILLY

For the last time.  Mike Vick is done!  I don't understand how people still think he has some left.  I heard on ESPN Radio someone saying, well maybe if he went to a smaller market team like Buffalo or Arizona, oh that could work.  NO!  He is completely finished and so is Andy Reid in Philly because he is still continuing to play him.  The rookie, Nick Foles looks ready to play in this league.  Who knows, they may even had a winning record right now if they would have started him all this time.  They are on a short week this week, and they know that their coach will be fired.  This doesn't mean they won't play hard for him, but it's just not working. Now they play Dallas who needs a win and can definitely dominate them.

PREDICTED SCORE : COWBOYS 27  EAGLES 10

*** DETROIT -1.5  at MINNESOTA

Now you can see a little bit of what I was talking about when I said the Vikings coach sucks.  They are about to completely slide, I think.  Teams are figuring out their QB and he hasn't done squat lately, and the Lions are beginning to go on a role, while trying to hold on in the play-off race.

PREDICTED SCORE : LIONS 24  VIKINGS 20

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEDNESDAY NIGHT PLAY

* BOWLING GREEN  +1.5  at   OHIO

The Bobcats have been good in their home finale and have beat the Green Falcons in the last three, including a nail biter 29-28 in Bowling Green last year.  Well BW has had a week off and has played really good defense all season.  A good defense usually beats a good offense, and a good offense is pretty much what Ohio has, along with some key players on their O line out or banged up for this game.  I think this will be a great game to watch, even though it's a Mid-American Conference match up, and I like the Green Falcons to pull this upset.

TEASER ACTION

I've played four parlays, including teasers all year, and I hit a 7 team teaser and a 5TT last week which I posted, and everyone and their mom seems to be hitting parlays this season, so why not..

COLTS  + 4

GIANTS + 3

BUCS + 4

BRONCOS + 3.5

DOLPHINS + 1

LIONS + 5

COWBOYS +6

THIS WEEKEND'S PLAYS

Now as for college football, I'm going back on my Maryland +7.5 vs Georgia Tech, due to the fact that their LB will be starting at QB for the Terrapins.  Aint that some shit, huh.  So stay away folks.
As for the NFL I have some plays and I also have a 5 team 6 point teaser that I feel is hitting, so it is as follows:

CAROLINA + 9
MIAMI + 3.5
TAMPA BAY +7.5
ALABAMA -2
USC + 14.5

NFL WEEK 9 PLAYS

** CAROLINA +3  at WASHINGTON

The Redskins defense has gotten so bad, as a result of a lot of key injuries, and for the umpteenth time, their defensive coordinator, Jim Haslett is a terrible coach.  This team seems to be a little bit on the decline, maybe like last year.  As for Cam Newton, and as bad of football he's played in the past few weeks, I think he will have a good game and lead his team to victory.  He has something to prove in this game, because he still thinks he is the better of the two of these dual threat QB's.

* MIAMI  -2.5   at  INDIANAPOLIS

The Colts have been pretty decent at home this year, and now have a winning record.  Now some analysts are talking about this team getting into the play-offs.  PLAY-OFFS??? Not this year so slow down tiger.  I think they will lose this weekend and it could be kind of bad.

*** TAMPA BAY  +1  at   OAKLAND

With extra time to rest and prepare, all the traveling the Bucs have done may not affect them too much at all. With G Nicks out for the year, there has to be more of a sense of urgency with this team and I think coach Schiano will stress that this week.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYS

* USC + 8   vs   OREGON

* MARYLAND +7.5  vs   GEORGIA TECH

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

NBA OPENING NIGHT PLAY

* NEW ORLEANS +7  vs   SAN ANTONIO

Rookie Guard Austin Rivers is probably going to play tonight, and whether or not he performs well tonight, something is making me believe in him.  Forget Eric Gordon being out because he's not going to be part of this team or their successes.  I think Monty Williams has done a damn good job thus far and his team played stingy defense and competitive games with the scrubs he had last year.  Now he has the Unibrow, who is going to develop into a game-changing player, in my opinion.  The other new faces he has added will help their inside game and their depth.  Manu is out for the Spurs tonight, and that's always good for the opponent, and the Hornets are at home for their opening game and their crowd is excited about this year's debut.  This will be a close game and like the Bee's chances.

THIS PAST WEEKEND

Well, I'm going to write myself a note to never pick totals, which I've already done before.  They are really unpredictable, at least for me, and I should have known Denver would have been extra prepared for the Saints' offense, coming off their bye. As for the Packers game, I guess 16 points is just too risky to lay in the NFL, and the trend of taking the big underdogs this year continues to roll on.  I was surprised, just like I think everybody was to see the Irish smash the Sooners.  It's like I said, though, Brian Kelly is an amazing coach and Stoops seems to underachieve in big games.  Hats off to Kelly and this program.  They are still playing with some of Weiss' recruits, so just wait another couple, few years.  What this guy is doing so far is almost miraculous.  So for next week I'm already anticipating a few interesting things, so let's start with college.  Last year around this time LSU coach, Les Miles was getting so much hype and everything with his team was just going so well, and he had a winning record vs Bama coach Nick Saban.  Well, I think that was your peak, Leslie. I hope you enjoyed your glory because I think it could be soon declining and never turning back.  LSU has won 22 straight at home at night and are 10 point underdogs, at home, at night, this next Saturday vs Alabama.  I think that's about right, considering how damn good the Tide is.  This is the best college football team I've seen since the '08 Florida Gators and they dominated and destroyed their opponents, lost a game, but won the ultimate prize.  So I'm saying like I said in '08 about Florida, "This team's winning the championship."  When I crunch the numbers for this game I see Bama winning by at least 10-13 points, but my fore sights are saying Crimson Tide 24-3.  I'll probably back em if I can get it at -9.5 to be completely safe.  As for bets, getting USC at home right now at + 7.5 seems like a decent investment because it's at USC and is the biggest game of the year for the Trojans.  Now in the NFL, I see the Panthers getting a win in Washington this week, due to the injuries on the Skins D and how bad they've been (Jim Haslett's their defensive coordinator), and that teams are starting to figure RG3 out a little.  Carolina is just so frickin desperate also.  Just look at how they played Chicago yesterday.  Tampa Bay looks to me as if they're about to go on a little streak, and it starts by winning a tough road game vs a lacking team that's on a small 2 game winning streak themselves.  The Oakland Raiders.  Tampa is actually getting a point and a half and I think they have this game and possibly a couple, few more consecutive wins after this game.  Philly is desperate and that can be dangerous, but the Saints are playing at home on prime time, so good luck calling that one. So till next week, stay tuned...

NFL WEEK 8 PLAY

** NEW ORLEANS   at  DENVER   over  55.5

This is going to be such a great game, it's not even funny.  I am so excited for my 2-4 Saints, that it's kind of sad.  They are getting their real interim coach back for this game and Joe Vitt said that RB Chris Ivory will get his chance in this game.  For all Saints fans, that has to rev you up, much like it could rev up the Saints' lacking run game, and make our offense even more explosive.  Graham should be back, but I like what Dave Thomas(Mr. Frosty) can do.  I sure hope they can win this game, but I just don't know.  I do know that there will be like sixty something points scored and that Peyton has still not gotten the last game he played vs New Orleans(SUPERBOWL XLIV) out of his head.  He wants his revenge and the yards and big plays that this defense is giving up right now, he may just get it.  They did make key stops to win the last two, so this should be interesting.

ANOTHER NFL WEEK 8 PLAY

For all followers, hope we profited from Thursday night with the Bucs.  I am back and above .500 in the NFL.  I know that's not that good, but I'm inclined for a bad stretch, just like most others.  What's trending now in the NFL this season is that every time it's seemed that one team will blow another out, it doesn't happen that way.  This is probablly due to the fact that the league may be more competitive than ever.  Well, good luck with that theory and good luck to you Jacksonville, because the Green Bay Packers are playing with a strong sense of urgency and their QB is showing why he's a champ.  I don't think they'll win the title this year, but they have the experience that will scare opponents in the play-offs, and as of right now I don't think anyone wants to play this red hot team.  This doesn't have all that much to do with Gabbert and Mojo being out, because Rashard Jennings is a good back, but Henne is no better than the starter and this team just doesn't have much.

** GREEN BAY  -16   vs   JACKSONVILLE

PREDICTED SCORE :  PACKERS 48  JAGS 14

HALFTIME

For all the real football lovers, I hope your tuned in on ESPN2 for a little Sun Belt Conference action.  UL Lafayette at Arkansas  State.  At half it's Red Wolves 26 Ragin' Cajuns 7, but I really think Laffy could come back and make it interesting in the second half.  I'm hoping, at least because this is usually a really good match up and fun game to watch, so check the second half.  As for this weekend a very intriguing game is catching my interest and it's undefeated Ohio St at Penn St.  I don't know what was wrong with Penn St in their first two games...yeah, no clue at all.  Since the third week, this team has been pretty good and is playing at home.  I kinda lean towards the Nittany Lions' way, but it's hard to go against Urban Meyer and his little toy Braxton Miller.  Penn St has played good defense (15.7 PPG allowed) and they can run the ball so this should be a hell of a game.  Can't wait!

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 9 PLAY

* NOTRE DAME +10  at   OKLAHOMA

I've said this many times before and I'm still here today saying that Bob Stoops is an overrated coach.  He has been known for some serious choking. He lost five straight BCS games giving his team the nickname, "Chokelahoma".  These games that he lost, he was actually the favor in four of them, because he always has loads of talent on his teams, just seems to underachieve with it.  He also makes dumb, crucial decisions in big games, such as the 2008 BCS Championship game, where he went for it on 4th and goal at like the 2 yard line, when he could have got the 3 points and the lead.  Instead Bradford threw a pick in the end zone.  I happen to love what Brian Kelly has done with the Irish thus far, and I think he is amazing at what he does.  This Notre Dame defense is for real and I expect this game to be close.  Plus, the Irish have a very decent shot at pulling off the upset.

NFL THURSDAY NIGHT PLAY

* TAMPA BAY  + 6.5   at   MINNESOTA

I know the Vikings have been a surprise team and pretty good at home, but they still have sort of a dumb ass head coach.  Now I know the Buc's coach has looked like an ass, especially this week, but he's still got to be better than Leslie Frazier.  This Tampa team plays very tough and has a really good run defense.  They got stumped by a team that knows them well this past week and it was so close.  I see this next game being a dog fight also and I like their chances to win.

TEASER ACTION

For those who have betting accounts online or what not and receive a bonus free play from time to time, I would suggest maybe using it on a teaser.  They say these are sucker bets, but you are receiving an extra 6 points in your favor in these games.  That is if you play the 6 point teaser as I did.  I hit a 7 teamer in the NFL just two weeks ago, so we'll see how it goes this week.  There's even action tonight!

North Texas +10

Chicago +0.5

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 8 PLAYS

*** LSU  -4  at   TEXAS A&M

I'm releasing these early because as you may see already, the lines are moving.  I'm thinking just get on them now for extra security, but I don't think it will be needed.  I have said this for a few weeks and am still saying it now for ones to remember at the end of the year.  The Florida Gators are overrated.  This team got up to No. 2 in the polls, but it doesn't mean shit, in fact it never really means anything this early.  They beat LSU, yes I saw, and that is more of a heated rivalry than any in the SEC.  LSU needed some maturing, and in all reality, should have won the game by 10.  Mettenberger showed even a little blossoming in the last game vs S.Carolina, with some really big drives, and this team showed that they don't have to put it in their QB's hands to get a signature win.  We'll see if they'll be able to do it in two weeks when the season's on the line vs a defense as good as theirs, but I say they get their first quality road win this weekend

PREDICTED SCORE :  TIGERS 31  AGGIES 10

*** SOUTH CAROLINA +3  at   FLORIDA

That's right the Gamecocks are getting points.  I think the line should be more like Cocks -3.5 or 4 but I also  don't think that the Gators are the second best team in the land.  This weekend could be their wake up call.  They have a good defense, but are a little one dimensional on the offensive side.  The Cocks are going to be playing a little like LSU was last week, with their backs to the wall, and a little pissed off.

THIS WEEKEND'S PLAYS

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 7

* NORTHWESTERN -3.5  at   MINNESOTA

NFL WEEK 6  MONEY PLAY

*** ATLANTA  -9   vs   OAKLAND

The Falcons are a very focused, well coached team, who are probably the best team in football inside their dome.  The Raiders, on the other hand, are just a complete mess of a franchise.  I mean where does one even start to begin?  They are coming off a bye, but that doesn't scare me because I don't think they're well coached at all, being the fact they have a dynamic RB and are averaging a mere 60.8 YPG.  They obviously don't know how to utilize the little talent they do have on offense.  Atlanta's offense will pose a problem for just about any defense in the Georgia Dome, not that Oakland's is any good.

PREDICTED SCORE :  FALCONS 38  RAIDERS 20

THURSDAY NIGHT NFL GAME

I have been listening more to the Las Vegas ESPN radio on my Android device and I've heard a female handicapper, Kelly in vegas (Kellyinvegas on twitter).  Her and another woman have a free site called hottiehandicappers.com.  I read her piece on the play with Rams +1.5 tonight.  She thought the Rams would be able to play well and stop the Cardinals light offense, but also mentioned how they love the home dogs this year.  She also said that 74 % of the betting public is on the Cardinals, so that helps her play.  Understand this bettors and such handicappers, no trend, and I mean no trend at all, such as betting against a side because a big majority went the other way, will help your play.  In fact, once you do your research and make your bet, it's out of your control.  Nothing helps you, and sometimes the "public" are smart bettors who have been picking games for a very long time.  So good luck to both sides tonight.  I actually lean toward the Cardinals to win tonight in a sort of a slug match.  Ryan Williams is getting the start at RB, due to Stephens-Howling being hurt, and I think that is a good opportunity for them to get the run game and whole offense going.  St. Louis has a solid shot at pulling the upset, though

ANOTHER COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 6 MONEY PLAY

*** OKLAHOMA  -5   at   TEXAS TECH

The Sooners are coming off an extra week's rest and seeking revenge on the Red Raiders from last year.  This is the type of game Stoops' teams come up big in.  Right after their first loss of the season, which gives them a lesser chance of playing in the game that they wanted to.  I also think this will be a reality check for Tech, because they haven't played anybody yet.

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

NFL WEEK 5 PLAY

* MIAMI +3.5   at  CINCINNATI

I think Tannehill and this team are still better than what most think.  I know this may not seem to be so bold, but I think this Dolphins team, with this rookie QB, will go into Cincy on their second consecutive road trip and win.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME OF THE WEEK

*** BOSTON COLLEGE   at   ARMY
Not that this will be one of the featured games or a don't miss, but this is my play of the week.  BC is not too good, but they play in the ACC and have been somewhat competitive.  Army, on the other hand, probably wouldn't be able to stay within 10 points of any team in that conference.  They can score a little, but I personally don't think they could stop a high school team.

PREDICTED SCORE : GOLDEN EAGLES 41  BLACK KNIGHTS 21

TO JAY CUTLER :

Oh Jay, you poor, dumb, diabetic piece of stool.  Who in the hell do you think you are?  You haven't ever won anything, you waste of a great talent, and even if you had, nothing excuses your attitude.  Even if you don't agree with what a coach is telling you, you don't walk away.  It's called respect, and leading by example.  The guys that win in this league, or any league if that, follow the rules, respect their teammates and coaches at all times possible, and are modest.  Ask Aaron Rodgers, ask Drew Brees, or Tom Brady.  It's a shame too, because you had a great game last night and you have an unbelievable talent, but you won't ever win shit because you're not a true leader and don't have what it takes to be a champion, in my opinion.  Your Bears are pretty good, but I'd take a QB with a better head on his shoulders or a real team where everyone gets credit for winning.  Good luck asshole.

NFL MONDAY NIGHT PLAY

** DALLAS  vs  CHICAGO  over 41

I typically never bet on game totals.  Maybe  4 or 5 times in my life, usually for recreation.  These two teams have gun-slinging QBs, which may not get the best protection, but have good RBs and WRs.  Guys like Peppers for the Bears and Marcus Spears and DeMarcus Ware for the Cowboys are playing this game banged up.  That should tell you there could be more points than usual, and I think it would go at least 43 anyway.

PREDICTED SCORE : 27-23 EITHER WAY.   ENJOY!

MORE NFL WEEK 4 PLAYS

** TAMPA BAY  ML(-140)  vs   WASHINGTON

The line is only 2.5, but this game should be a battle and could come down to a point or two.

PREDICTED SCORE : BUCS 20  SKINS 17

** ARIZONA  - 5.5  vs  MIAMI

Although I respect the Dolphin's defense, there offense does not have too much, and Reggie Bush will not be 100%.  They are also traveling across the country to play a tough D.  The Cardinals have played some tough offenses in the two prior weeks and held them to minimal scoring.  This week should be a breeze.

PREDICTED SCORE : CARDINALS 17  DOLPHINS 6

Thursday, September 27, 2012

ANOTHER COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 5 PLAY

** W. VIRGINIA  -11  vs  BAYLOR

The way Geno Smith and this offense is playing, and Baylor's lack of defense, this is going to be very high scoring.  Wonder if the total will be 100?

NFL WEEK 4 PLAYS

** DENVER  -6.5  vs  OAKLAND

The Broncos really need to put together a full four quarter game this week and I think they will against this Raiders team at home.

PREDICTED SCORE : BRONCOS 35  RAIDERS 21

** SAN DIEGO  pick em  at  KANSAS CITY

The Chargers have looked good this year, with the exception of last week, and even though the Chiefs won last week, they have not.  This is a division rivalry and should be close, but the run D of San Diego has been impressive and they need this win on the road in their division.

PREDICTED SCORE : CHARGERS 24  CHIEFS 17

NFL WEEK 4 MONEY PLAY

*** GREEN BAY  -7.5  vs   NEW ORLEANS

Where do I begin with naming the problems that the Saints have right now?  Well, first, Drew Brees is completing 54 % of his passes, with no protection and throwing very bad passes here and there.  They aren't giving the ball to their most productive player (Pierre Thomas), Marques Colston is not 100 % because of a nagging foot injury, and they can't stop a nose bleed.  Yeah, yeah, yeah, Spagnuola's defense takes at least 4 weeks to understand.  With the personnel, or lack of, that they have in their secondary, good luck fixing it.  These players play well in Greg Williams' defensive scheme and can't do shit in any other, and you're seeing it.  Green Bay has averaged 19 PAG in their first three, due to the tough defenses they had to play.  They are itching to get it going and this week I think they will, and considering what happened to them Monday, they will be taking it out on the Saints.  New Orleans hasn't stopped anyone and being generous, Washington's offense is pretty good, Carolina's is decent and KC's is below average.  You want to get your running game going this week GB?  Give the ball to Benson at least 20 times and he will get you at least a buck fifty, and I trust that Mike McCarthy will.

PREDICTED SCORE : PACKERS 49  SAINTS 24

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAY

** TEXAS  -2.5   at   OKLAHOMA ST

A good defense almost always beats a good offense.  The Cowboys can score a bunch ,as usual, and can't play much defense as well.  Longhorn's QB David Ash is playing lights out and their defense is one of the best in the land.  Stillwater is a tough place to play, but there's a reason the odds makers are favoring the road team in this one.

PREDICTED SCORE : LONGHORNS 30  COWBOYS 20

Friday, September 21, 2012

MORE NFL WEEK 3

* TAMPA BAY  +8  at   DALLAS

Although I think the Cowboys should pull this one out because it's their home opener, I think the Bucs will be able to keep it within a TD.

* ARIZONA  +3  vs   PHILADELPHIA

The Cardinals are still not getting much respect as underdogs at home.  Their defense is for real, and I think it's in the top 5 in the league.  Kolb going against Philly's D does make me nervous, but he is yet to throw a pick.  That'll probably end on Sunday, but he may be able to pull it out, considering his defense is so good.  Michael Vick has already thrown 6 INT's and might be running for his life, due to his center being out.  That could be big, but overall I see this game coming down to about 3 or 4 either way.

Thursday, September 20, 2012

NFL WEEK 3 PLAY

** DETROIT   - 3.5   at    TENNESSEE

I know, go look.  The home teams have winning the majority of the games in the first two weeks and covering the spreads.  This means as much to me as the government telling me I'll get social security one day.  In the words of Jim Mora, "didley poo."  I like strategically going against bad teams early and this seems to be working.  Bottom line, though, I think Detroit is a good team and even though they're on their second road game in two weeks, they should bounce back strong.

PREDICTED SCORE : LIONS 28  TITANS 17

$$$$$$$$$$$---MONEY PLAY---$$$$$$$$$$

*** SAN FRANCISCO   -7   at   MINNESOTA

Right now the Niners are one of the most physically tough and mentally sound, and don't forget most well coached teams in the league right now.  In my opinion, they are the best team and should win the whole thing, but things tend to change throughout an NFL season, if you catch the drift.  They are traveling up north to play a poor football team, which with their focus and talent, they will dominate.  I like to pick on the bad teams early because: 1) The points that they are given seems to be generous to the favorite, because no one knows how bad they really are yet. 2) They probably don't even know all the things that make them bad yet this early in the season.  So how would they work on it when they don't know it's an issue yet.  Minnesota is 1-1 and their QB Christian Ponder looks pretty good, because of who they played in the first two games.  For all of you Alex Smith naysayers: The guy had a good year last year and with more around him, will be even better this year, and wait.  Here's a stat for you.  Did you know that Alex Smith, not Joe Cool, owns the 49ers record for most passing attempts without an interception?  Whoooaaa!  What a ya know.  He had 189 w/o a pick going into this past Lion's game and now has 220 and counting.  When you want to talk negatively about a player, you may want to know all about that player before you claim he's not capable of certain accomplishments.  These people will probably not admit, but they most likely hate on this guy because they see him make a few plays here and there in a game and that's all he has to do for his team to win.  Sorry the guy doesn't win the way you want him to.  All I know is he doesn't mess up much and is 16-4 as a starter under Harbaugh.  Now I usually like to wait a little while to make my play, due to an important player possibly getting hurt like on Friday.  You kind of have to bet some games early, like say Wednesday or Thursday, because lots of dough is going on your side and the line is sky rocketing on you.  Well, I've been continually checking and on my sites it hasn't moved once.  Even if it does go up to say 9, take it!  Lay the lumber son!  Vegas gives the home team an automatic 3 point favorite off top.  So if San Fran were playing them at home the spread would be -10, which is still not enough, in my opinion.

PREDICTED SCORE : 49ERS 30  VIKINGS 10

LAST NIGHT'S GAME

I will not hesitate to admit that I was wrong about the Atlanta Falcons.  They looked solid all across the board last night.  With the exception of Peyton looking like something someone  released from their sphincter for most of the game, the Broncos weren't too bad.  When your QB is playing that sloppy, I think it can spread throughout the offense.  If Manning plays at a good level, they can be a good team.  As for Atlanta, they did look good, but Matt Ryan has to show up and perform in a play-off game before anyone can say he's worthy of being  a champ, because he's failed to do so in his first three attempts.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL PLAY

* DENVER  +3   at    ATLANTA

I had some money in my free play account, so I figured I'd have some fun tonight, and for those who play, you'll understand.  Tonight's game should be down right fantastic and I know Matty Ice and co. have been hard to beat in this dome, but I really like the pass rush of the Broncos, and how they match up with this Falcons team.  I think Peyton will find a way to dissect their seconday and get his team the victory.

PREDICTED SCORE : BRONCOS 24  FALCONS 21

NFL WEEK 2 PLAY

** Houston -7   at   Jacksonville

Although they are not completely terrible, the Jaguars are still one of the worst teams in the NFL.  They played a tough game last week, and almost won, but that was against a below average team.  They hired a guy with a pretty shitty resume as their head coach and drafted a punter in the second round of the draft this year.  As you can tell , they are poorly ran and the fans of Jacksonville don't even deserve this team.  I personally think this team should move to Oklahoma City.  It could work.  As for them now in their home opener in Florida...

Predicted Score : Texans 28  Jaguars 13

NOTE TO JAY CUTLER

You are a bitch!  All you seem to do when a big game comes up is talk shit, like the arrogant ass that you are.  Well, I guess no one told you that you have to be able to back it up more often than not.  You remind me of that dumb ass receiver that changed his last name and just changed it back recently.  You played like complete animal waste last night, and showed zero leadership when your team needed you most.  As for your cocky colleague, Marshall, you are an arrogant asshole too.  There is no way an elite receiver doesn't make that catch.  Maybe you were too busy thinking of what kind of TD dance you were going to do before you finished catching the damn ball, dufus!  Both of you have God given abilities and size, but deep down are      worthless when it comes to being true winners.  I'd like to credit the Packer defense, though, they did a good job and Rodgers was able to show he's a leader and a winner.  Cutler needs to take after him, but he's too busy talking about how good he and his receivers are.  Live and learn

TONIGHT'S GAME PREDICTION

The Bears just simply know how to beat this Packers team, because that's what Bear coaches, such as Mike Ditka and Lovey, have stated their teams have to be built for.  I know this is a must win for Green Bay and they're at home, but it is a short week and they are a little banged up.  There's even talk about trading Greg Jennings because they might not be able to afford to franchise him.  This seems to be a bad time for them as they search for an identity, with no running game, and an inability to make key stops.  The Bears have a dangerous offense and welcome the Packers man coverage defense, and they will run down their throats otherwise, with Michael Bush and Forte.  I love Bush and expect a big game from him.

PREDICTED SCORE : Bears 30  Packers 24

ANOTHER COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 3 PLAY

* NOTRE DAME   +6   at   MICHIGAN ST

Now for my second game of the week in college.  Need I remind, the Irish waxed them last year, 31-13.  That was last year, but Notre Dame may have improved this year, well, at least on defense.  Michigan St, on the other hand has declined a decent bit.  The new QB is about half as good as last year's and they lost all their starting receivers.  This should be a close game but I think the Irish win straight up.

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 3 PLAY

** TENNESSEE  -2.5  vs  FLORIDA

Well, I did have Florida St getting revenge on Wake Forest circled on my calendar, but I thought they'd be giving a lot less than 25 points to the Demon Deacons.  Noles could end up winnimg 31-7.  Now on to the SEC.  I think the Vols have a high powered, vertical attack with QB Tyler Bray and these receivers and this will be the year they finally beat the Gators.  I don't even know how long it's been, but Florida is not too good offensively and they will need to be to keep up on Saturday.  I guess you could say the Vols have some revenge in mind too.

NFL THURSDAY NIGHT PLAY

** Chicago  +6    at   Green Bay

I think the Bears can definitely win this game and the Packers could fall to 0-2.  Chicago has not had too much trouble in the past with winning in Lambeau Field, and now the Bears have a good offense that doesn't have to rely on the defense to win the game.  They know how to beat the Packers and Green Bay's defense doesn't get an easier task on this short week.  This game will probably come down to a few points, and I see Green Bay barely winning if the even do.

Saturday, September 8, 2012

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 2 PLAY

* Vanderbilt  -3   at   Northwestern

I think the Commodores have a pretty good team this year with a good bit of speed.  May not be able to keep up too much in the SEC, but this is a Big 10 team.  I think Vandy just has more talent.

NFL WEEK 1 PLAYS

                                      $$$$$$$$----MONEY PLAYS----$$$$$$$$

*** San Francisco  +5   at   Green Bay

This my favorite game of the week.  I really like what the Niners did in the off-season and they will be more than ready for this match-up.  I see this game going 27-24 either way, and although this is such a tough game to win against this Packers team, Frisco has a great chance at coming up victorious.

*** Tampa Bay  +2.5  vs  Carolina

Go ahead and take the MoneyLine if you want to because Tampa's winning this game straight up.  I think it will come down to 3 points, possibly in OT.

Just for fun -

* Tennessee +5.5   vs   New England

A little hung over from a Superbowl loss are the Pats?  I'm not completely sure but they did play a 19 game season last year and could be just a tad bit exhausted.  Plus, the Titans have a good D and this is their home opener.  This won't be easy at all for New England so I predict Pats 21 Titans 17.

For those who didn't follow last season, I rank my plays with *'s.  So let's say for the average bettor we put a price on them.  It would be as follows:  * = 55.00 bet  ** = 110.00 bet  *** = 220.00 bet  **** = 330.00 bet  ***** = 440.00 bet

NFL 2012 SEASON PREVIEW

AFC EAST :
1. NEW ENGLAND - Unlike a lot of others, I don't think this team is going back to the Supebowl this season.  They will still be good and have an improved defense, but I just don't think this is their year, but I'll go ahead and crown 'em in this division.

2. BUFFALO - The Bills D line should be one of the best this year.  Let's be totally honest.  Ryan Fitzpatrick is really just an average QB in this league, but with a very good D, and a healthier team than last year, going 10-6 and getting a wildcard spot is not out of the question.

3. N.Y. JETS - I really don't know what to expect from this team this year.  It's Sanchez's make or break year and although Tebow should be able to help in Sparano's wildcat system, I think Sanchez can play well enough not to get benched.  Tebow chants from fans may not be able to change their head coach's mind.

4. MIAMI - Well they lost Brandon Marshall, Reggie Bush is due to get hurt, and Ryan Tannehill is a rookie.
They do have a decent defense and I don't expect this team to be terrible, just not that good.

AFC NORTH :
1. PITTSBURGH - As much as I always hate to say it, the Steelers will be back this year.  When I say back I mean with another possible Superbowl appearance or deep in post-season.  They will still have a good D, be able to run the ball and Big Ben is a great play maker.  I think their new offensive coordinator will work. out well.

2. BALTIMORE - It really will hurt this team this year without LB Terrel Suggs in the lineup.  Other than that, they're still a solid football team, but I don't see anything special happening this year.

3. CINCINNATI - They lost their RB Cedric Benson, and Bernard Scott isn't bad, but they have big shoes to fill.  Their defense is good and young so they should be competitive so I'm predicting 8-8.

4. CLEVELAND - Although this team should be improved this year with Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden, I don't think much of Pat Shurmer as a head coach and they have a rookie QB and a bad front office.  I think I've said enough.

AFC SOUTH :
1. HOUSTON - The Texans now have what I believe to be the 2nd best defense and 2nd best offense in the NFL.  A very solid team, who if can stay healthy can win this conference.

2. TENNESSEE - Jake Locker continues to show improvement, they still have one of the most explosive RB's and their defense is good.

3. INDIANAPOLIS - I think Andrew Luck is going to be great.  The way he threw the ball in pre-season, which was much better than we saw in college, I'm convinceed of this guy.  He is still a rookie with not much at all of a running game and not much else around him.

4.  JACKSONVILLE - Mike Mularky's coaching abilities are described
best probably by his last name.  This team will be pretty bad, but I do expect big things from rookie WR Justin Blackmon.  This guy will be their only receiving weapon as defenses stack up on MJD. I say he wins Offensive Rookie Of The Year.

AFC WEST -
1. KANSAS CITY - I guess you can say this is one of my sleepers this year, because I think Romeo Crennel can do good things for this squad.  I believe their running game will be loaded and a healthy defense will be very good.  Matt Cassel will have to play well, and I think he will. two years ago he threw 27 TD's and only 7 INT's and they went 10-6.

2. DENVER - I think Peyton Manning, depending on how good he looks, can go 10-6 with this team. I think their defense is good but not great at all.  In fact don't forget they got torched in the secondary in their last game.  I also don't think they have much of a running game, but they have Peyton and he should come back with a vengence.

3. SAN DIEGO - I think Robert Meachem will be a good No. 1 WR for them and have a breakout year, but I don't see anything spectacular.  I think their Qb will have a comeback, but Norv Turner is just missing something, along with this whole team.

4. OAKLAND - Now, talk about bad front offices.  How many different head coaches has this team gone through in the past 4 years?  I'm not exactly sure, but I know it's too many, and Carson Palmer is done.

NFC EAST :
1.N.Y. GIANTS - They did lose some key guys, but still have a good D and I think rookie RB  David Wilson is a sleeper.  I think they'll have a better regular season this year than last year.

2. DALLAS - Tony Romo really wants to win bad and with a new offensive coordinator, his chances can only increase.  This team has a some good talent, but I'm not sure if Jason Garrett can do much with it.

3. PHILADELPHIA - Andy Reid is an amazing coach but his tenure with the Eagles can not last forever.  Michael Vick lives hurt, and even though rookie QB Nick Foles looks as if he could do well, this division is brutal, although they have a good team.

4. WASHINGTON - RG3 is a great talent, but because of his lack of size and the fact he will run, means he will be sidelined a bit. They have some decent talent currently around him, but still have Mike Shanahan and Jim Asslett on their coaching staff.  I meant Haslett, but not really.

NFC NORTH :
1. CHICAGO - I don't think they're going to have as good of a defense as last year, but won't have to.
With the addittions of Michael Bush and Brandon Marshall, this offense could be deadly.

2. GREEN BAY - Aaron Rodgers and this offense should be as good as any once again, but they really didn't improve their defense, which was dead last, as much as needed.  It also won't help that they lost a good player in ILB Desmond Bishop.

3. DETROIT - Matt Stafford reminds me a little of Brett Favre, but could be better maybe.  Mike Leshore should be good and they drafted well for defense, but I think this team is still immature and this will not be their year.  Next year..

4. MINNESOTA - They're bringing back Leslie Frazier and Adrian Peterson might not be 100 %, and there is not much else on this team right now.

NFC SOUTH :
1. NEW ORLEANS - They still have Drew Brees and the best offense in the league.  This coaching staff knows the protocols and now have former head coach Steve Spagnola running the D.  Pete Carmichael will be calling the plays, and is underrated.  I don't think they'll miss much of a beat.  It might cost them one close game, but even with as tough as a schedule as they have, I got them going 11-5. They will also be a threat in the play-offs once again.

2. TAMPA BAY - This is one of my sleepers this season, because they have young talent, did good things in the draft and off-season and went 10-6 two years ago with a putz. Well, Schiano their rookie head coach is no such thing.  Does anyone remember what Rutgers did before he coached them? No, because it was whole lot of nothing. He is a no nonsense type of guy who has talent and this team will be coming out of nowhere.  I think they will go 10-6 and make a wildcard spot.
\
3. CAROLINA - They should be a little better than last year, but they haven't added anything good and it's not likely Cam will throw for as many yards as last year.

4. ATLANTA - I just don't see this team doing anything this year.  Matt Ryan's confidence has to be a little down and their defense is still not that good, plus they need to be deeper.  Mediocrity written all over them

NFC WEST :
1. SAN FRANCISCO - It's hard not to crown this team when they have the best D in the league, have added new weapons and Alex Smith HAS proven he can win.  He threw 17 TD's with only 5 INT's last year and also threw the winning touchdown in two games that I saw. They beat the best offense of all time and were a couple plays away from the Superbowl last year.  They are not a fluke at all and Jim Harbaugh will do great things in the near future.

2. ARIZONA - With QB John Skelton as the starter and a healthy backfield, this team should be pretty good.  Michale Floyd is a great talent, do if he works out well, then watch out.\\

3. SEATTLE - It's hard to tell how good they can be with rookie QB Russell Wilson.  This kid has talent and so does the Seahawk's D, but they still need to fill some holes on offense.

4. ST. LOUIS - They should be better than last year, but they still don't have squat.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TOP 10

Well here we are, once again, at the very start of another season.  I think much like last year LSU and Alabama possess the two teams that are close to NFL quality.  The rest of the league and top 10 are pretty watery compared to these two programs, and with all that's happened they actually could play again in the title game.  With them both playing in the SEC and their tough schedule one will probably drop two games, and LSU has the more favorable BCS title schedule this year.  Remember my top 10 is going to be how I see the teams finishing when it's all said and done.

1. L.S.U.  -  I see QB Zach Mettenberger and this team gelling throughout this year and have such an easy start to do it before any possibility of a loss.  They got Bama at home off a bye week.  It seems to be a gift. They have the best O line, one of the best D lines and THE best backfield in the nation, kids.  Completely loaded.

2. USC  -  Even though they may have to play Oregon twice, they can still get in with one loss and an above average defense.  They do have Heisman favorite QB Matt Barkley, who could be the one of the best college Qb's ever, along with a great offense.  So luckily, they will probably go on to get smashed by just a more talented program, who has a different breed of players, in the BCS Championship game.

3. ALABAMA  - This team is going to be great again, especially the offense.  I think they just lost too many key guys, including six starters on defense. Although they have a powerhouse and have great talent stepping in, they just have too tough of a schedule, playing LSU on the road after they have had rest.  You can't win it all every year Nicky, but just about every other.

4. FLORIDA ST  -  I would have had this team at No.2 in the title game but they did just lose their senior DE Brandon Jenkins for the whole season, which is going to cut because he had 22.5 career sacks and 8 last year.  They probably will still have a great D and win a BCS bowl.  Good Luck Jimbo.

5. OREGON  -  This team is always very good on offense and have been successful with first year starting QBs.  They should have a good defense as well, but have to go to USC this year, and possibly play them again in the conference championship game.

6. OKLAHOMA - They lost a decent bit of key players with lots of leadership, including their best offensive threat last year, but they still have Heisman candidate QB Landry Jones

7. SOUTH CAROLINA  - This team almost has enough talent to be a real contender, but Steve Spurrier has always seemed to underachieve with this program.  For instance, two years ago he lost his only SEC title game with this team 56-17.  He does have a better QB now, so let's see what he can do.  My guess is another 11-2 type year.

8. GEORGIA - This could be Richt's best team in a few years with star QB Aaron Murray.  They also will not have to play LSU, Bama or Arkansas.

9. ARKANSAS  - I think they will fair just fine without that jackass head coach who got fired, as deserved.

10. MICHIGAN  - Although they are not in Bama's league as we just saw, I think they will build on last year and probably be in another BCS bowl game.

NFL PRE-SEASON PLAY

Pittsburgh   -3.5   vs    Indianapolis

Don't waste too much of your time and money on these evaluative exhibitions called pre-season NFL games.
  Although I do like the Steelers in their first home game for the pre-season.  For some reason this franchise plays to win this game and they have much more depth than the Colts and that matters in a game like this.  Andrew Luck did look good last week, but remember that it was the Rams, and they aint got much.

NBA FINALS CLOSEOUT

*** Miami (-150)   vs    Oklahoma City

I never thought I'd say this a week ago, but when I'm wrong I have no problem admitting it.  I am swallowing my words because Lebron is focused and doing the things he wasn't last year in the Finals and his team around him is playing well also.  They are too focused and too determined and just a better team than the Thunder at this point.  OkCity will probablly use this experience in the future because now is not their time.  They really need another shooter-scoring weapon, because D Fish is too old.  Maybe a little help for the lack of offense they receive from Perkins in the middle and Westbrook will be kept and he does do some geat things, but let's be honest.  He has the basketball IQ equivalence of a burlap sack.  Well enjoy the last of NBA this season, because I will not be watching, but just collecting when it's over.

NBA FINALS 2012

So here we are at last.  This really and truly is what I thought it would be going into the play-offs and much of this season, and what almost everybody wants to see.  This should be an excellent series to watch, for it has the two best players in the league going at it.  This is the perfect set-up for people to realize, finally, as if last year wasn't enough, that Lebron is not a champion!  He is matched up with a guy who is about to win his first ring at about the age James should have, and which a lot of people expected him to.  Durant is a real champion, and he will prove it in this series, for anyone who is wondering who's more valuable, not better, because we know that LBJ has mad talent and can do so much, except for make big shots.  I see this series going like this:  Game1 - OkCilty 106 Miami 95  Game2 - OkCity 102 Miami 96  Game3 - Miami 99 OkCity 93  Game4 - OkCity 98 Miami 92  Game5 Miami 100 OkCity 91 Game6 - Miami 98 OkCity 94  Game7 - OkCity 104 Miami 96.  I also see this being the same Finals match-up next year and the year after that.  So Miami really could be winning multiple championships, I guess if it weren't for this Oklahoma City soon to be dynasty Thunder team.  Enjoy the series and the ride my brothers, sisters and only friends.

WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS GAME 1

* Oklahoma City +5.5  vs   San Antonio

I see them making a statement and getting the win.  This should be one hell of a game, though.

NBA PLAY

* Philadelphia -2  vs   Boston

I think this thing is definitely going the distance.  Celtics will probably close out at home.

NBA WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS

So Here we are folks.  We are about to see, what I believe, is going to be the best series so far in these play-offs.  The Spurs will be the small favorite, because they have the home court and haven't lost yet in the play-offs.  Let's not forget to mention how hot they've been, winning 18 straight.  That's pretty impressive, blah, blah, blah.  I really am tired of hearing people suck this team's ass.  Just because they have a history of winning titles and the best coach, doesn't mean this is their year.  In fact, I think the Thunder's road here was more impressive.  They beat the last two NBA champions, sweeping last year's.  Now granted, they were not the same but you got to believe they were better than the joke Jazz and the dinged up and exhausted Clippers.  I think this is going to be a very entertaining series with a lot of high scoring, close games. I also think San Antonio's age will catch up to them in this series, playing a much younger, energetic team whose time is now.  Oklahoma City has a superstar and one of the best closers in the game today, and that means a lot when it comes to titles.

Thunder in 6 or 7.

NBA WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

Oklahoma City (+130)  to win Western Conference

I just got this in today and think you should also.  It's an investment worth your time and money, being that it's 1.3 to 1 of your money and the Thunder are winning the West and that's final!

Monday, April 30, 2012

NBA PLAY

* Miami   -10   vs   N.Y. Knicks

I think the knicks are just way too over matched in this series.  I do think this game will be a little closer, but that's it, just a little bit.  Heat by at least 13.

Friday, April 27, 2012

NBA PLAY-OFF ACTION

* L.A. Clippers  +5   at    Memphis

I do think the Griz have a good squad, and this should be a long series, but I'm going with a team not to sleep on in the West.  Chris Paul is a phenomenal player in post-season and Griffin is a beast and I just have a gut feeling they're definitely getting past the first round.  So go ahead and take the Clipps to win the series.  It's +180.  That's a bargain folks.

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

NBA PLAY

* New Orleans  -2.5    at    Golden State

With the Warriors extremely banged up and possibly tanking some games for more lottery balls, Vegas is routing against them.  Mo$$vegas is also going against them because the Hornets are NOT tanking and play very hard.

NBA 2011-2012 CHAMPIONSHIP

I have made up my mind and am going with the Oklahoma City Thunder to win it all this year.  I think they will most probably be playing the Miami Heat in the Finals, and along with the fact that I think Lebron will be lacking again when it counts, I believe Ok City has got what it takes.  Kevin Durant is the top scorer in the league and he's a lock to be the MVP, I think.  Westbrook is like his Scottie Pippen, scoring 24 ppg, along with James Harding, making up for this dangerous scoring trio.  I think they've got enough depth and play very good defense, and have lots of confidence and have progressed throughout this season.  I think this will be the start of a dynasty, for I see this team winning multiple rings.  I went with them to take the crown at +300 (that's 3-1), which is a great bargain.  I'm not saying the Heat will definitely not do it, because they can and most definitely should take it this year.  I do think the Thunder winning the West and going to the Finals is FREE MONEY $$$$$$$.  So go ahead and bet it now at -130.  They're not going to just give it away, but if you have the resources to  make a nice investment in this, I highly suggest doing it.

NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

* Kansas +7.5 (-130)  vs   Kentucky

Ok they are only getting 6.5, but I went and bought it up a point just to be extra safe, but I don't think you'll need it, because the Jayhawks could win this game.  I do think this will be extremely close.  Remember, Kansas has two real scores and Kentucky only really has one, but also a shut down defender.  Well, as well as playing good defense too, Kansas probably plays the best team basketball, and I personally think Bill Self is a little better as a coach.  Also keep in mind 4 years ago when Self won his first championship, it was John Calipari's Memphis Tigers, whom which they beat, and that might have been Calipari's best team.  Kansas beat the better team that year, so don't think they can't do it this year.  There's a reason, I think, that John Cal has not ever won the whole thing.  Well, maybe it's just not all that important, which is what he said on ESPN radio yesterday.

Thursday, March 29, 2012

FINAL FOUR PLAY

* Louisville +9  vs  Kentucky

The Cardinals have nothing to lose and are as loose as can be going into this game with a great D.  This always helps.  I actually think this has to be the year Calipari gets it done, because this team is very good, but probably not even his best. (Memphis '07-'08)  I know Louisville can pull off the upset, but they will need to play a perfect game.

Predicted Score :  Wildcats 61  Cardinals 56

Saturday, March 24, 2012

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

* Louisville  +1.5   vs    Florida

Well, I do love Billy D as a coach and he does have a good team that has started to really come on in this tourney, but I also think this is the year Pitino could do something with his squad.  I don't understand why his team is the underdog, because they beat a really good Mich St team and their defense plays lights out.  This should be a great match-up.

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYS

* Michigan St  -5   vs    Louisville
I think this Spartans team could be a special one and I actually have them winning the whole thing in my bracket.

Predicted Score : Spartans 72  Louisville 64

** Kentucky  -9   vs   Indiana
I like this Hoosiers team but the Wildcats are really good this year and will at least be back in the Final Four, and SHOULD win the whole thing.  Can Calipari finally do it?  I think they get some revenge for this year's buzzer beater loss in Indiana.

Predicted Score :  Wildcats 81  Hoosiers 64

PEYTON MANNING

He is visiting today with the Tennessee Titans, whom I think have the best shot at signing him.  Think about it.  They have one of the best running backs, their defense is good, they have an emerging big threat WR in Kenny Britt, and the coach played ball with Peyton's dad (ties with the family).  It really doesn't have all that much to do with them playing the Colts twice, but if you think he doesn't want to beat them over and over for letting him go, think again.  He has an extreme competitive edge to him.  Remember when he said "You better draft me or I will come back and kick your butt" or something of that sort on an NFL Films thing they did on him.  He wants to go to a team that can win a SuperBowl quick and with Peyton, I think the Titans can be the top threat in the AFC, possibly.  Denver would probably be the team that has the second best chance, because of all the money they have, but do you really think he wants to go to a team whose back-up QB gets so much publicity.  We will see.  If I were Peyton, I'd really like Tennessee's formula and the fact that they were the only one of these teams who had a winning record last year without me.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PARLAY

** Louisville +8.5   at   Syracuse

Louisville has been inconsistent this season, but they have been great on the road, and I like the Cardinals straight up to pull the upset.  I will take the points, though, because the Orangemen are undefeated at home this year.

*North Carolina  -2  at   Duke

I know it's in the crazy Coliseum, but the Tarheels should have won the last game in Chapel Hill.  I don't think they'll let this one get away.

I would usually not mess with parlays, but every once in a while to have fun.  Well, this really isn't just for squirts.

Friday, March 2, 2012

NBA PLAY

* Memphis  -3.5  at   Toronto

Two road favorites I like two nights in a row, son I know.  I like the way the Griz are playing and Toronto is just kind of terrible and Bargnani is still not playing, so Gasol should have a good game for Memphis.

Thursday, March 1, 2012

NBA PLAY

* L.A. Clippers -3.5   at   Sacramento

Ok, so I guess I was a little too confident last night.  I completely struck out yesterday with my College play, and after looking at the board for today, I'm moving on to NBA.  I really like my boy Chris Paul and his Clippers tonight on the road.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

* Tennessee -2.5   at   South Carolina

The Gamecocks just might be the worst team in the SEC.  The Vols, on the other hand, are not too bad, and I think will go on the road and cover tonight.

Thursday, February 23, 2012

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

** Duke  - 1.5   at    Florida St.

Florida St has played very well at home this season, but the way the Dukies are playing right now, I just can't see the Seminoles sweeping the series this year.

Friday, February 17, 2012

NBA PLAY

* Philadelphia ML (-165)  vs   Dallas

I don't know, but I just like the Sixers tonight at home.  They're playing much better this year overall, and Jason Terry is listed as doubtful, so that doesn't hurt.

Lebron James (continued)

So now the story is that there is still hope that Lebron James is open to possibly going back to Cleveland later in his career. Really?  Who the hell really cares, I mean these sports writers just don't have shit else to talk about.  The only way I would really see him going back is at the end of his career when he's done winning championships, due to Cleveland's history.  That is also if he ever wins a damn ring.  That's really the only thing left for Lebron.  No one gives two fucks about how good you're playing this year, although it's more diverse and off the charts.  Win a championship.  Come up big in big times, and close the fucking game, you putz.  Just play basketball and talk about the game to the media and not how the world blames Lebron for everything you god damn baby.  That's the main topic and really the only important one for James.  Is he finally going to grow a sack and not shrink in the clutch.

NBA PLAY

* Detroit ML(-165) -3.5   vs   Sacramento

Detroit has played some tough basketball in the last few, and playing at home against a team they've had a number on in the last few meetings.  Sacramento hasn't won many road games, but this could be close so you might want to just take the Money Line.

Thursday, February 16, 2012

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

* Michigan St.  -6   vs    Wisconsin
With the way the Spartans have been playing, I think they will cover this number tonight at home, where they are undefeated for the year.

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

* LSU +1  vs  Mississippi St.

The Tigers have been pretty good at home this season. (9-3)  They have also played enough close games against this Bulldog team, including a 5 point loss later last month.  I think they get the win at home tonight.

RANDY MOSS

So we've all heard the news about the other Mossman, who wants to come play for an NFL team again next season.  First, I think this guy was probably the best WR skill set in the history of the game.  That doesn't mean he was the best ever to play, because I think Jerry Rice was.  Randy was not a very good teammate at times and he really had kind of a bad attitude and disrespect for the NFL.  I'm not talking about that shit he did in '04 with the pantomime of him mooning the crowd, either.  I thought that shit was so overblown.  Who gives a fuck, huh? I'm talking about the video after that, which was captured of him showing no respect at all for the league and no appreciation for his position in life.  Find it on Youtube, it's funny.  We all know about his other shenannigans, like a couple years ago insulting a caterer for no reason.  The bottom line now is he's 35 and has already been cut from a team, and last I saw he looked pretty done.  Terrell Owens was another great receiver, who at 35, was pretty much finished.  I think the odds of this guy making any kind of big impact on a team next year are slim.

Monday, February 13, 2012

NBA PLAY

* Utah  -5   at   New Orleans

The Hornets are banged up right now and on top of  that they're just straight terrible.

Thursday, February 9, 2012

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

*Pepperdine -2   vs   San Diego

Now this Pepperdine team is pretty damn bad, but I think San Diego isn't much else.  They are favored tonight, playing at home, and have won 1 out of their last 10 played.  I think they get a win tonight against a team they have had a number on lately.  Yes, San Diego beat them earlier in January this season, but tonight is revenge, kids.

NBA PLAY

*L.A. Lakers  +3.5   at   Boston

I know they're playing in the garden and Boston has been hot as of late.  They still are yet to impress me this season.  L.A. has not really had that effect either, but I like them tonight.

Wednesday, February 8, 2012

COLLEGE BBALL PLAY

*Kansas +2   at  Baylor

The J hawks have really just owned this team.  The first meeting in Kansas this year wasn't even close.  I think the Bears should play a lot better of a game, but I still see Kansas making the sweep.

SUPER BOWL

So here we are folks.  Now at the very last game of the season (sigh).  It sucks for a good bit of my fellow hometown sports fans that have to watch bball now, and then have a complete no sports period during the summer.  We will enjoy this game, though, to my brothers and only friends, this is it, man.  I think this is going to be a terrific game to watch.  Lots of back and forth with good defense being played on certain drives.  Watch out for a DB in New England's secondary to make a game changing play.  The secondary has been being derailed by media who don't understand.  This is a bend but don't break defense that can take the ball away in the secondary.  Billy B probably didn't sleep much the past two weeks due to critics questioning his expertise in coaching.  I think it will be addressed for this game.  I also think Stephen Ridley, who was out for the last game due to fumbling the ball too much, very well might play and could have a good game.  Patriots should try to run the ball in this game to tame those DE's.  For those betting props my boy tells me bet the blue gatorade bath it's 9 to 1.  So enjoy the game and all you bring with it like your chips, dips, trips, gyna lips, and many sips of beer as we cheer for tonight SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!

Thursday, February 2, 2012

SUPER BOWL XLVI PLAY

*New England -2.5   vs    NY GIANTS

Well just go look at the history. Almost every time Bill Belichik's team loses to a team in a season and then plays them again, his team wins.  I think it's because this guy is just the chess master, and the smartest overall coach in the game.  I also think his team, although favorites, will come out playing like the underdog with a big chip on their shoulders.  This  is one game, and the Patriots defense has been overrated this year.  Their LBs are good with Mayo being able to play different parts of the field well, and Vince Wilfolk is playing at a very high level this year, and the secondary gets a good bit of picks(24 this season), much like the Superbowl XVIV champion New Orleans Saints.  They give up chunks, but I think they can grab a couple in this game.

Predicted Score : Pats 30 Giants 27    Buy it down to -2.5 if you can because it will be well worth it.

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

* L.S.U. +9  at   Mississippi St.

These two basketball teams just play each other so close, so often, that I got to go with the Tigers with all those points on the road.  They have played competitively  in the SEC so far and I think think the defense and the 3 days rest should allow them to hang tonight.

NFL CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND MONEY PLAY

***Baltimore +7.5   at   New England

This will be a close one, and I think the Ravens have a great shot.

Predicted Score : 24-21 either way

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAY

*Cincinnati +6.5  at  UCONN

I know the Huskies have been great at home this year (10-0), but I also think that The Bearcats are not getting nearly as much respect as they should.  They are 14-4 overall and not even ranked.  They are familiar with playing Uconn, so this should be a tight ball game

NFL PLAY-OFFS DIVISIONAL ROUND

I believe these teams will definitely advance this weekend, so here's what I got cooking.

3 TEAM ML PARLAY:  This bet will pay something around 1.5/1

New Orleans(-200)  at  San Francisco      Predicted Score:  Saints 27  FortyNiners 23

Baltimore(-330)  vs  Houston          Predicted Score:   Ravens 23  Texans 10

Green Bay(-330)  vs  NY GIANTS    Predicted Score:  Packers 27  Giants 21

TIM TEBOW

As I was watching Colin Cowturd on ESPN a little earlier and listening to this weird looking fucker talk about how it's ridiculous because everyone loves this guy sooo much.  "Nobody loved Mark Sanchez, and he beat Brady and Manning in the play-offs, Tebow hasn't."  Yea well that really was an example of a good team around a QB, because Tebow's team I believe would have been 5-11 without him.  No one said he was a great passer, or even a good passer, but he is a great leader and runner.  I think people that hate on Tebow do it because he's not traditional, a passer, but he is built for crunch time and he does bring a new style, which is why so many people like him.  I think some guys don't like him because every woman wants to bang him.  If I were a chick I definitely would too.  As crazy as I think this sounds, I think that of all underdogs this weekend, Tebow's Broncos have the best chance of an upset.  New England has not won a play-off game in the last 2 tries and it's because they don't have that defense.

2012 BCS CHAMPIONSHIP LSU vs BAMA

If you still think that this should not be the match-up for this game even after seeing the lack of defense by the other potential qualifiers, you're just a jackass.  I think this is about as good as it gets for championship games.  Given the season, either one of these teams could win a National title.  I personally think LSU has the better overall team, and even though born and bred in the area, I have no likes for this school.  I have enjoyed watching the Tigers play this year, though, for I love smash mouth football teams that take the ball away on D.  Although I think LSU has the better squad, I just can not pick this one, and I want to think they will definitely win. There are some deciding factors.  Les Miles has won every bowl game with LSU where his team overmatched the other team with talent, except for Penn St two years ago, and lost. Alabama is pretty even with talent and have Nick Saban, who has a game to study on them.  That just worries me.

Predicted Score : 21-17  either way

Friday, January 6, 2012

NFL PLAY-OFF PICK

*Cincinnati +3   at   Houston

This will be the second time around for the Bengals.  They pretty much dominated the last game, and now have film on Yates who is playing with a separated non-throwing shoulder.  Dalton was hospitalized with the flu on Wednesday but returned to practice yesterday and should be fine.  The Bengals have young players but more play-off experience than the Texans.  I think D coordinator for Cincy, Mike Zimmer, will have a better plan for them this time.

NFL PLAY-OFFS 2012

Well, here we are kids.  Are you excited?  I know I am because my instincts are telling me something I like very much.  If you followed me from the beginning before the season started my pick to win the SuperBowl this year was the New Orleans Saints.  Don't believe me, check the blog in July and August.  Well, a lot seems to change throughout the course of a season and I don't always make convictions like this as early as now.  I usually need to watch and learn a little once the play-offs proceed, but when I see something, it's there, and it looks like I don't feel much differently as of now.

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTION:

New England   vs  Baltimore

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTION:

Green Bay  vs  New Orleans

SUPERBOWL 46 PREDICTION

New Orleans  vs  Baltimore

2011 SUPERBOWL CHAMPS :  NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Bet them now to win it all while the odds are good
